Equipment used during Pilates Personal Training

Design

Reformer Training

The Reformer is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage, which rolls back and forth on wheels within the frame. A set of springs provides choices of differing levels of resistance as the carriage is pushed or pulled along the frame. One of the best things about the reformer is its versatility. Exercises can be done lying down, sitting, standing, pulling the straps, pushing the footbar, perched on the footbar, perched on the shoulder blocks, and all kinds of variations thereof.

Options

The Combo Chair

The top of the Combo Chair is called the seat, and the front of the chair is the side with the pedals. The back side of the chair has a mechanism for attaching the springs which are adjusted for differing levels of resistance. The Combo Chair highlights imbalances and weaknesses like no other piece of apparatus.

Sliders

Pilates Arc Training

The Pilates Arc has a gentle curve on one side and a steeper curve on the other side, its asymmetrical shape is extremely versatile for different uses and body types. The Pilates Arc is excellent for developing abdominal muscle control while protecting the lower back. It is also excellent for stretching the abdominal and shoulder muscles.
